An Encounter With God

Here is a man who has no background as a Hebrew getting a message from a God who has been missing in action as his own are treated like slaves in a foreign land where they had one sought refuge under the guidance of there God. They are miserable and cry to God daily to an extent some forgot they knew Him once. The children born in slavery had no idea who He is or what He can do. They could only rely on the stories they had heard from their grandparents.

If i was a child at that time i would be like, ” You mean the God you have told me about would actually do that yet i was born in slavery.” Those who were before me would have some explaining to do. First and foremost, they would have to explain why God was missing in action. What angered Him so much that He abandoned us in misery. Where was God when all the Hebrew newborn males were being killed. I don’t think it would have been easy without God’s intervention in my spirit. Am not easily convinced and only God could have saved them from my nagging. But i guess the rescue mission was far more important and maybe i would be enjoying seing God trouble the slave drivers.

Here they are children of the promise year in year out same condition same prayer and nothing seems to change. Then God is moved by their cry and shows up ready to save them no matter what it costs. He says,” I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and i am concerned about their suffering. So i have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and bring them into a good and spacious land overflowing with milk and honey.

Lets come back to Moses, how overwhelming it was for him to experience God in a way nobody else had. Maybe not even a mention of how he arrives. Was he oriented well enough for the surprise visit, was he calm? I would have loved to capture this kind of moment. The magnitude of the Holy of Holies arriving on stage,His voice and His presence. I probably would have fainted 100times. I still get the chills just reading about God’s presence in the bible, not to mention when He arrives when am in prayer His presence brings me to my knee’s.

God had to introduce Himself Exod 3:6. Moses was yet to have an encounter with God as old as he was. Aren’t we privilege that God’s son made this meeting easier for mankind. Moses was afraid of how he would reintroduce God to them. They knew Him but they needed a refresher. Exodus 3:15. It was so long since God visited.

My question to us today are you maybe feeling that it has been too long since God visited you? Are you perhaps feeling that the devil has mistreated you long enough? Has your joy, laughter and peace been missing in action too or do they just make a technical appearance and before you enjoy their company they are gone. Have you cried long enough to God to save you and change your story. Well,am here to tell you that He has heard. He is coming to deliver you. Help is on the way. Open up your heart and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour.

To my fellow believer, are you like Moses wondering how to deliver the message that God has put in your heart to His people? Are you worried that they might not believe you? Be as simple as Moses was. Ask God, “what will i tell them if they ask”? If you’ve got any doubt in your heart, go back to God. He is not an author of confusion.

I would also love to hear from you how you encountered God for the first time.

Stay blessed

JESUS;the best pandemic

Let me start by jogging your memory.

From the English language dictionary, the word pandemic is defined as “an outbreak of a disease prevalent over a whole country or world. Whereas Epidemic is defined as ” a widespread occurrence of an infectious disease in a community at a particular time.”

By now, and at the time of writing this, it is common knowledge in the public domain that we are experiencing an outbreak of a disease prevailing worldwide known as covid -19. But wait, this is not the first time we have such an occurrence? Over the years, century after century, a trend has been witnessed, more than 20times counting.

For instance

Athens broke out in the 430 BC. Antonio plague of 165 AD. Cyprian plague of 250 AD. The Justinian plague of 541 AD. The 11th century Leprosy. The black Death of 1350’S . The Colombian Exchange of 1492. The great plague of London of 1665. The first cholera pandemic of 1817. The third plague pandemic of 1855. Then came Fiji measles pandemic of 1875, Russian Flu in 1890’s, Spanish Flu of 1918, Asian Flu of 1957, HIV/AIDS of 1980’s and SARS of 2003. The latest of them all being the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. In between, some epidemic were contained earlier enough before they became pandemic -such as Ebola, zika etc.

All these pandemic claimed millions of lives with the worst scenario being the case of the Justinian plague that killed perhaps half of the the world’s population at that time.

Apart from pestilences erupting as epidemic /pandemic, there has been another pandemic of the one who was chased out from heaven having fought the angels and was defeated. He has been judged for treason, and now awaits his punishment. For that matter, he is roaming around looking for someone to kill, steal and destroy. He knows his fate and doesn’t want to go down alone. Throughout the world, he has invaded many flocks before and to re-use marriages, ministries, killed dreams, stole hope, joy and peace from many homes. Sons and daughters have been carried off into drug abuse and addiction, homosexuality, perversion, debauchery, fornication, envy and malice.

As if this is not enough, even in the Holy Bible, especially the old Testament era, there were plagues/epidemic /pandemic that terrorised ancient generations. Most of these plagues however, were attributed to their sinful nature and pride of life that they exhibited. For instance, the vivid old Testament saga of the 10 plagues that devastated the land of Egypt and it’s people ( exodus 1-12) especially the boils that afflicted both man and the beast. Shortly afterwards, we see the Lord sending venomous snakes among the people and many of the israelites were bitten and died. Thankfully enough, they recognised their mistake and pleaded for help. God listened and through Moses, who made a bronze/brass serpent, hanged it on a tree/pole that whoever was bitten and looked up to the tree, was healed. Numbers 21:4-9. This too signified the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and it’s power.

All these pandemic were claiming lives. Including the devious one which at work to this very day.

But there’s an exceptional. One distinguished pandemic. One that broke out in a place called bethlehem, city of David. This was approximately 2000 plus years ago. It lasted for three half years with its peak witnessed at a place called “the skull/golgotha.” Here, mankind was redeemed, reconciled, cleansed, forgiveness, made righteous, made children of God and co-heirs to Jesus Christ. This is the best ever outbreak that shown light into the dark world,by and through which, eternal life was assured, is assured to date. The spread, though not contagious, happened almost the same way. Man spreading to man. Unlike the other pandemic such as covid, Spanish Flu and the rest which were(are) fighting the immune system of an individual, Jesus received, brings about healing of the body mind and soul. He quenches thirst for the thirsty and fills the belly of the hungry, for He is the living water and the bread of life. (John 4: 13-14, John 6:35) respectively.

Jesus Christ is the best pandemic that has, is, and will ever happen in that ” in Him, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominion or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn of the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fulness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. See colossians 1:14-20

Then, why hardened your heart? A conclusion therefore is drawned that He is everything. If “someone” is everything, then it’s prudent we seek that “someone” and invite him into our lives. Behold, He stands at the door knocking. If anyone hears His voice and opens the door, He will come in to him and dine with him……..see Rev 3:20…….He is asking, ” what do you want me to do for you? … He asked the blind man whose desire was to see again. Consider Mark 10:51. Pandemic come and go. Some tends to resurface and they do, the swope is dreadful. We see this clearly in the 1400’s when the black Death pandemic resurfaced after 800 years and claimed over 200 million lives in just four years.

Jesus however, being the only way to the Father, who is actually the truth and life, brings about peace, restores hope, easen burdens, brings healing, quenches thirst and above all, gives life. Upon acknowledging and receiving Him, He works in us, within us and for us. Out of our imperfections we are made perfect by Him on a daily basis. We work out our salvation in fear and trembling on a daily basis as we carry our own cross daily while following Jesus. Just like a cancer patient who has to attend chemotherapy day after day and he is cleansed from the cancer cells 20%, 30%, 80% until he is pronounced cancer free.

Friends, I draw the attention of a fleshed man like you and me named Paul who despite having attained much in his carrier life as a scholar and a governor, a man who wrote many epistles to the early churches and suffered alot for the sake of christ said in philippians 3:7-8 that ” whatever gain I had , I counted as loss for the sake of christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain christ.” ……this is my desire too. …that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His suffering being conformed to His death. …verse 10. ……not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.

For them that are perishing, unfortunately, the power of the cross and all of these are foolishness, but for that one person who will not hardened his/her heart like the way our forefathers did in the wilderness that made them to miss the promised rest, it is power of God, for whoever presses on towards the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Finally, fixing our eyes on Jesus is advised, the author and finisher of our faith. This should be done bearing in mind that a huge cloud of witnesses sorrounds us. In Him we are sanitised. The new normal is experienced upon acknowledgement and receipt of Him. We become isolated from the woes of this world, though trials and tribulations may come, but we are assured of a positive outcome at the end.

Consider Jesus Christ.

Heaven Owns Me.

Those who are believers have responsibilities towards God’s kingdom. To obey the Lord’s ordinances and covenants. To accept Lordship, baptism and answer to the call. We serve the Lord of Lord’s we ought to live in reverence and worship of Him who is our King. We can not just expect a one way relationship. Do not be a dormant citizen participate in discipleship, healing and deliverance. Offer yourself as a true citizen, a worthy ambassador of the Lord.

What the Lord offers us

Permanence and Governance

Philippians 3:20 But our citizenship is in heaven. Rom 8:6 The mind of a believer is governed by the Spirit and God’s law which is peace and life. Identification When we believed we were legally recognized and marked by a seal. Ephesians 1:13b Whoever loves God is known by God. 1 Corinthians 8:3 2 Timothy 2:19 “The Lord knows those who are his. “

He guards us from the enemy John 10:9. Our Messiah is the gate and whoever comes through Him will be saved. John 10:14 I am the good shepherd i know my sheep, and my sheep know me Life Jesus gives us abundant life. John 14:6,”I am the way and the truth and the life. ” 1John 1:4 In Him was life, and that life was the light for all mankind.

We are adopted into sonship and made co heirs together with Christ. You are entitled to an inheritance. To share in His glory and suffering. Approach God’s throne of grace with confidence Heb 4:16

Throught Christ Jesus the law of the spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. Rom 8:2 V15 the Spirit which you received does not make you slaves so that you live in fear.

Be an answer / not the question

There are many questions without answers but there’s no answer without a question. All of us have question(s), yes, seeking for answers. Unfortunately, some answers are right under our nose yet we are too blind to see it. For that believer, the analogy of birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ ( which I profess) is believed to be the answer. We read in the Holy book that this same Jesus is the way, truth and life; no one comes to the Father except through him. For us, this illustration is enough prof that “He is the answer “

The heart of a man however, is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? These wavering and wandering of a man’s heart more often makes a man to ignore the truth that brings life and tend to choose the wrong path that leads to destruction. Solomon, full of wisdom, said that ” there is away that seems right to a man, but it’s end is the way to death” proverbs 14:12.

From the beginning, man was given the right to choose between good and bad. To provide answers to the questions around him. The choice was/is left under his/her own will/power/ability. We can choose to obey God’s will to provide answers like when Adam obeyed God’s voice and named all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals (Gen 2:20). Or choose to ignore His voice by taking the wrong side like he did when he ate the forbidden fruit (Gen 3:24). Choices are there to be made in all walks of lives and different sectors bearing in mind there’s consequences.

I once read a book ” A passion-preneur’s guide on” by Nicole Roberts Jones on the empowerment of women entrepreneurship, or how to venture into business to make a difference in life and become an answer. What caught my eyes was her Introduction and I quote …………” I believe that when we are each born to this world, we come on assignment. YES, you are here on this earth to make a difference and definitely to make some money while you do it. How you do that is by really using your gift, your expertise, your know-how (what she called your FIERCE) to be the answer. You have to understand, you do NOT do that for you but for every person who needs you as the answer to the problem. Now do you see how you=BE THE ANSWER! How that gift in you matters to humanity!”………….I agree with her that indeed our talents must be natured. They must be put into practice and be allowed to multiply. That assignment or purpose has to be identified and worked on to the fulfilment.

For how long will you cry fowl. Yes there’s silence in our government. Some lend us deaf ears if not turned their backs on us. Yes police no longer keep peace, maintain law and order but have become a den of terrorist who terrorise innocent citizens especially every electioneering period in any republic/democracy. Yes there’s no sense of belonging to that civil/public service you render as a patriot to your beloved nation. Justice is yet to blossom in our court corridors. Cartels are in control of the business sector thus corrupting the sector too. The air/road/rail/water transport is also compromised. Yes the health sector is idling, and with the ongoing covid-19 pandemic, I dare say it’s in the ICU. The definition of diversity is changing from its original state where the least common multiple(LCM) and the greatest common divider (GCD) is no longer God Almighty, for He is the one who created the whites and black people. He gave them different skin colour and languages under the umbrella of HUMAN RACE for His own glory and no one else. This too has been abused. Are you becoming and answer to either of these or you are the question????. This matter is purely individual choice, it starts with me and you

God created us to become answers to all these problems. He wants us to become answer to someone else’s prayer. We ought to be the answer to the changes we want to see in these institutions too. Sometimes your obedience to God ( by this I mean heeding to the purpose through which you were created) can become an answer to someone’s prayer. By becoming the answer to someone’s prayer, we often find the answers to our own. Never fail to pray for me, for him and for her. Who knows, this might be the only path -way to your breakthrough. A story is told of how the children of israelite wickedly asked for a king which was not necessary because they had the king of kings; thus displeased prophet Samuel and the Lord. Even though they were granted, the Lord was not reluctant to panish them by bringing rain of thunder to plunder their wheat during harvest, when Samuel prayed to Him to do so. God’s wrath had to be manifested upon their wickedness. Thankfully, Samuel attorned for them again and cautioned them not to deviate from the ways of the Lord. But my point is this, that in this sequence of events, Samuel was there ready to provide an answer. He refused to be the question but rather be the answer. We see this clearly in 1 Samuel 12:23 when he said ” As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right. “

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. ” Mathew 5:13———–when everyone is asking questions, you provide answers. When the job you’re doing is boring and tasteless, not yielding anymore, improvise ways and means of adding flavour to these job(quitting is not an option if you ask me) and with persistence, rejuvenation will occur, restoration will begin and healing at the end of the day. You can not become an answer if you are far from the presence of God. Always be in the presence of God . For whoever dwells in the shelter of the most high will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Such person can claim that God is His refuge, his fotres with whom he trust.

Do we agree that from today henceforth you’ll stop being the question and become an answer?

Will you remain focussed in the midst of all the negatives you’re going through and become an answer anyway?

Joseph, brother to Benjamin and son to Jacob became and answer, first to the barrenness of her mother, then beat all the odds and attempts of a possible murder, sold in a foreign land, put in prison after escaping narrowly from the hands of potiphar’s wife seduction, interprated several dreams in all these mixed, remembered later after 2yrs of faithful waiting while providing answers in prison, actually called out of prison to provide a solution to kings dream, made second in command, again provides answer to his family when famine broke out in canaan. All this time we see Joseph giving answers and not questions throughout his life. How I pray that we will consider this man in our lives as a role model and emulate him. Have just paraphrased….see Genesis 37,39 and 40.

Finally, the only contentment that I long for,is to see people providing solutions to problems that easily ensnare us rather than forming part of those problems

May we choose wisely

How About A New You

1 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old is gone and the new is here!

This verse makes me think of the man delivered from demons on Mark 5:2. He lived in the worst kind of state. He was chained hand and foot to be able to contain him. The chains became to weak and nobody could hold him down. Am picturing someone who is unkempt for ages, no bath no change of clothes. I mean, he was beyond any human, the only place for him was with the dead.

But see what Jesus does to him, v15 when they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind.

How i just love what Jesus does. He recreates you, He sets you free or delivers you and above all gives you a place next to him. This man got restored that he could now sit with other human beings quietly, he was calm and composed,he looked clean and healthy. He did not have to convince people that he was now well.

When you accepted Jesus Christ as Lord He set you free. Free from curses and the penalties for sin. He paid the bill in full. Walk confidently, live like a new creation. Arise and take your place for you have no battle to fight with the demons. The Holy Spirit dwells in you and no Legion can stand in His presence.

You are no longer in the tombs crying and shouting. You are not an outcast. You are a heir. Washed by the blood of Jesus and made new. Pick up your freedom and get your groove on.

Discover the power of life in you through the Holy Spirit and let the new you live a life full of bliss and not slavery. Rom 8:11

PRAYER CALL : Invite psalm in your prayer

Do you appreciate the fact that seldomly, prayers can be difficult, much less if the answers are not forthcoming? I know you do. Just like me. Daniel (just like jeremiah and many), had his frustrations in waiting for his answered prayer. Probably your prayers have been answered but the “prince of Persian ” is retaining /blocking your answers from reaching you, like it was in the case of Daniel (Daniel 10:13). We’ll talk about this later, on how to penetrate this zone/dwelling of the “Prince of Persian ” in question.

I presume at this level, many are the times you don’t know what to say. Well, I implores you to invite the Holy ghost and pray in the spirit ; for in the same way, the spirit helps us in our weaknesses. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the spirit, because the spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. (Rom 8:26-27)

Allow me to share with you what I have been learning and has been of great help to me. Am sure you will not regret this. PRAY IN PSALM. In the book of psalms, we have words that are given to us to speak to Him. This book is spirit-filled with prayers of every kind. ….from songs, hymns, worship, Adoration, confession, forgiveness to the climax of any prayer that is thanksgiving. Nearly all the writers of the New Testament and some in the Old Testament have quoted or made reference to this book. Paul, Peter, John, Jude, isaiah,Jeremiah etc. Jesus Himself quoted the psalms severally with the most outstanding one is when He spoke His last words on the cross, saying ” Father, into your Hands I command my spirit ” (luke 23:46, psalm 31:5)

The devil too knows the scriptures and the truth in it. But being the father of all lies (John 8:44), he fights against the truth and with the help of his cunning ability, he tries to persuade mankind otherwise. We see this clearly when the devil quotes the book of psalms during the temptation of our Lord Jesus Christ in Mathew 4:6. He said,it is written, “He will command his angels concerning you,and they will lift you up in their hands,so that you will not strike your foot against a stone”…………contrasted with the original psalm 91:11……..”For He will command his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways”

I invite you to use psalm as your guidance and you shall not regret it. For instance, while praying, do want to adore the Father for WHO AND WHAT HE is? Then Read psalms 24, 27, 33, 34, 40, 87, 92, 95, 100, 104, 107, 111,112,113, 116, 122 and 134.

Maybe your prayers are pegged in building your trust in God and have confidence in Him. Then psalms 31, 56, 131 and 16 will be of great help.

Do you feel like tired of the kind of life you’re living? You’ve been so much into conformity with the things of this world and now feeling a deep conviction of sin and the need to make things right. That your own righteousness are like filthy rags and needs the righteousness of God. Then read psalms 32, 39,51 and 123.

For that person whose desire is to read, devoted, trust, understand, see the value of justice, love, faith, light, safety and obedience in the laws of God. One whose dedication is to all these…….psalms 119 if the guidance you need.

Are you suffering from sickness? Was it not written that the Lord is able to heal the broken-hearted and bind up their wounds in psalm 147:3? Or are you in exile? Are you suffering? Read psalms 38,41,77,43,42,109. Thank me later.

Well then, the old/elderly are covered with the richness of these psalms (psalm 71) and the young/youths too in( psalms 102). This is why I find this book friendly to all generations and walks of life. Get me right, the other 65 books of the Bible are equally important with one purpose; equipping the body of christ in readiness to the mega wedding to come.

Like David, do you long for God? Ooh yes, I do. Would you rather be a door keeper in the house of the Lord than to dwell in the tents of the wicked??! Does your soul thirst for God? Or your flesh and bones only sees Him? Yes Lord, yes Lord, yes Lord, there’s nothing like your presence Lord, all I want is to be with you. ……if this is your desire and prayer, then read psalms 63 and 84.

Prayer for victory; psalms 18, 20, 21, 83

Prayer for someone betrayed by a friend; psalm 55

Prayer for unity ; psalm 133

Wedding song; psalm 45

Are you rejoicing in an answered prayer; psalm 28

National deliverance, safety, protection ,restoration and for kings or those in authorities; psalm 5, 25, 44,54,59,60 , 61, 64, 72, 74, 79, 80, 85, 89, 91, 121, 124, 126, 129, 140.

A prayer for help especially in times of trouble; psalms 6, 12, 13, 28, 35, 40:12-17, 57, 69, 70, 86, 88, 108, 120, 130, 142, 143

A prayer for justice; read psalms 7, 10, 73.

Morning devotion. One of my favourite. Pray with psalm 3

Evening prayers; psalms 4,41 are for you.

And finally

The climax of any prayer should be Thanksgiving. Greatful for who God is, what He has done, what He is doing and what He is yet to do. These psalms will help you dearly my beloved. Read psalms 9, 18, 30, 65, 66, 67, 118,138

Dear Lord,

The creator of the heavens and earth and all its fullness. Blessed be thy name. The I am that I am. Strength, glory, majesty, power are yours Lord God Almighty. You reign with power and majesty. The splendour of majestic throne is wonderful. You’re Holy. Worthy is the lamb. Sovereign God you’re. The eternal one. We call you Yahweh, Elohim, Elolam, Nissi, Rapha, Jireh, Adonai. The God of peace. The Lord of all wisdom. I will exalt you, Oh Lord, for you have lifted me up, and have not let my foes rejoice over me. I cried to you and you answered. Am grateful for your loving-kindness. I pray for my readers, that let their hearts be glad. May they encourage themselves in you, just like your servant David did. May they delight in your word and desire to know you. That your laws will be the meditation of their hearts I pray. That they will devote themselves in seeking after you first and not seeking after the things of this world. Thank you so much for you hear me when I pray. My soul, sing praises to the Father and rejoice in His holy name. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

In Jesus Christ name I pray. Amen

Blind Trust

The other day i was looking for something i needed and i was clueless as to where i would find it. After wandering my eyes around i got frustrated and asked the Holy Spirit to help me in my search as i realised i couldn’t do this on my own.

And this is how our conversation goes like.

Me: Holy Spirit, i know you are always with me, guide my steps and thoughts towards what am looking for.

Holy Spirit: “Do you trust me?”

Me:”Yes, ofcourse i do trust you, with my life, “

Holy Spirit :” Then walk with me, trust my lead. “

Me: “Do i need to go further, i feel like am doing this by my own.”

Holy Spirit: “Am still here, walk just a few meters ahead then stop.”

Me: (i walk afew steps ahead then i stop and to my surprise am exactly where i needed to be) “You actually led me to what i was looking for.”

At this point am very confident that the Holy Spirit is guiding me and the fear is gone. Am greatful that i followed his lead. It was not easy as i had to walk through a thicket at some point and that made me uncomfortable.

This experience made me to think about Abraham. He trusted God to lead him into the unknown. All he heard was God’s word. No title deeds, no certificates. He wasn’t going because God had deposited a million dollars in his account. He believed, he trusted God with everything he had.

His family, business, dreams had to allign with the call. Nothing and nobody convinced him otherwise. He had to move.

Do we trust God to this point. Is it God’s lead or is it the family and business first. Trust God’s lead He will equip and provide what you need.

Relentless People In The Bible

Two Blind Men

Matthew 20:30 Two blind men were seating by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, “Lord, son of David, have mercy on us!”

The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder. Am going to shout louder till i receive my miracle. Those who did not understand what it felt like to be in the dark rebuked them. But they knew that this was their opportunity to be healed.. They did not give in to those intimidating them, instead they shouted louder. Praise louder, shout louder till Jesus looks your way.

1 Samuel 1:10 In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the Lord weeping bitterly.

We have all read or heard about her. Her prayer remains to be the kind that most relate to when in anguish. A very effective prayer, nobody understands you or the reason you cannot pray out aloud but God hears. Keep calling, keep praying until a son is born.

Job 2:9 His wife said to him, “Are you still maintaining your integrity? Curse God and die!”

Job was blameless and upright. He feared God and shunned evil. He readily and with no complaints accepted what God gave him. Even in times of trouble he never sinned. Be relentless in the pursuit of what you believe in.

Genesis 32:24 So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak. When the man saw that he couldn’t overpower him,he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip. 26(b) But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.

Can you wrestle with God like Jacob did or will fear grip you and break your sockets before he even touches you. Jacob was relentless in everything he did he proved that he was made to win and no obstacles could hinder his victory. He almost overpowered the man and even in pain he had to win. He wouldn’t let go till he was blessed. Am not relenting till am blessed.

Words cannot express the kind of admiration i have for this guy. He served God to his last breath. He was a man full of God’s grace and power. He performed great works and signs among the people. The bible states that his accusers could not stand up against the wisdom the spirit gave him as he spoke. He spoke of God until heaven opened up for him. The passion , the zeal, and the fire is what i desire. That even in the most difficult times of my life i will be so caught up in worship that i see God.

I would go on and on but my point is, can your story of faith be recorded if the bible was to be written today. Would you be worth mentioning or are you the kind that Paul talks about in Eph 4:14 infants tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Challenge the situations that won’t change, shout, pray, be greatful, wrestle, worship, dance like David did, blow the trumpets or raise an altar of sacrifice like Abraham did. Put your faith in motion.

Be blessed
